Vitamins Types and Their Sources

Hope you often hear the word vitamins. what is it?? It is an organic compound molecule which is essential for the human body. But the vitamins are not naturally generated in our body. We can get the vitamins by Consuming some kind of foods and medicines. These vitamins will do many benefits for the Human body metabolic process and it plays a vital role.

These Precious vitamins can be classified into two types,

1.  Fat-soluble vitamins (Vitamins A, D, E and K)

These types of vitamins are kept stored in the fatty tissues as it name says, also it has the capability of storing for a long period of time and can be used up later.

2. Water-soluble vitamins (Vitamins B and C)

These water-soluble vitamins can’t be contaminated inside the body as it gets excreted out through urine. So, these vitamins have to be consumed often.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is the prominent one for good eye vision and it improves the Human immune system. Also maintain healthy skins, better Organ maintenance, muscle tissues grow and also makes the reproductive system healthy. Vitamin A is mostly found in Fish, egg and all milk products. If a person is having Vitamin A deficiency, then he may be suffering from a disease called xerophthalmia.

Vitamin B

The vitamin B has been split into some subcategory form, they are Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6 and B12. These B vitamins maintain proper nerve cell functions, RBC enhancement, Converting fats and carbohydrates into energy and producing cholesterol. It mainly helps with DNS replication. This vitamin B are predominantly found in eggs, liver, bread, nuts, fish, beans, vegetables and fruits. Fatigue, dermatitis, nausea, gastrointestinal tract, Body weakness are the most common Diseases of Vitamin B deficiency.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C can be used as an antioxidant. These vitamins maintain healthy ageing. Also, it has the capability of healing the injuries by developing collagens which will lead to the improved immune system and Iron formation drives the oxygen to all parts of the body. These Vitamin c are mainly found in citrus fruits and vegetables like potatoes, tomatoes, Brussels, spinach and cabbage. Vitamin C deficiency may end up with anaemia or scurvy.

Vitamin D

These vitamins are so essential and it can be obtained directly from the sunlight. It improves bone tissues growth by taking calcium from other resources. You may be suffering from osteoporosis when you lack this vitamin D. The majority of these vitamin D sources can be obtained from the external environment. Though indoor working people can get vitamin D from some other resources like fish, dairy products, cheese, yoghurt, fish oils and milk.

Vitamin E

The Vitamin E is also an antioxidant type like vitamin C as it Provides a good body defence system to fight against the diseases. This vitamin E are mostly present in margarine, nuts, oils, corn, wheat, etc, The vitamin E deficiency diseases are neuropathy, RBC breakdown in our body.

Vitamin K

The main function of vitamin K is that it supports Blood coagulation. It is mostly present in green vegetables like spinach, kale, cabbages, broccoli, etc,. which is generally all leafy one. Vitamin K deficiency will lead to internal bleeding and internal clot formation while injuries.

These vitamins are very essential as it plays a vital role in the human body and helps us in many aspects. The vitamins are the main reason behind the improvement of

metabolism and immunity of all living creatures. So, We should consume foods which are vitamin rich and stood strong enough to fight against the number

of harmful diseases which may come in the upcoming days. because, as I already said, some vitamins are not directly generated by our human body. We have to consume it externally.
